A Hydro-Responive Wound Dressing (HRWDTM) that cleanses, debrides, desloughs and absorbs, for optimal wound bed preparation1,2

The dressing is made up of a soft and conformable pad, which contains superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) at its core.
These SAP particles are pre-activated with Ringer's solution and the antiseptic Polyhexanide (polyhexamethylene biguanide, PHMB) which has an antimicrobial effect.1
The low adherent layer with addition of silicone strips minimises adherence to the wound and alleviates pain at dressing removal.3
HydroClean® plus rinses and cleanses the wound. The continuous rinsing - absorption mechanism promotes wound cleansing and formation of granulation tissue by softening and detaching necrotic tissue and slough.1,3
It therefore facilitates the natural process of autolytic debridement.4

HydroClean® Plus cavity

Ready-to-use with Ringer's solution pre-activated wound dressing, which contains an anti-septic PHMB bound to its SAP core and thus has an antibacterial effect and inhibits germ proliferation inside the wound dressing pad; suitable for wet therapy that lasts for up to 72 hours; the SAP used in the core of HydroClean plus cavity inactivates the metalloproteinases activity; this results in the reactivation of a stagnating healing process in chronic wounds; due to its special structure, HydroClean plus cavity is particularly suitable for packing deep wounds.

HydroClean® plus can be used on the majority of acute and chronic wounds where moist wound healing is appropriate:
  • Fibrinous wounds
  • Exuding wounds
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Necrotic wounds
  • Infected wounds
  • Dry wounds
It is indicated for wounds that are dry to wounds with moderate levels of exudate whether infection is present or not (if infected, follow local protocols).
