06.07.2017
HARTMANN partners with Dr. Donna Bliss, PhD, RN, FAAN, FGSA; a renowned incontinence researcher and University of Minnesota School of Nursing professor for an in-depth product workshop to discuss the assessment and prevention of IASD in nursing home residents at the NADONA LTC national conference in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The workshop is scheduled for Monday, July 17th at noon.

NADONA is one of the leading professional organizations for current and aspiring nursing leaders though professional development, board certification and clinical expertise related to the promotion of health and wellness of individuals in the long-term care and post-acute care continuum.

During the session, Bliss will examine innovate strategies for nursing care of IASD resulting from bladder and bowel leakage; including the use of absorbent products with curly fiber. This workshop will allow participants to learn about a new instrument for assessing the severity of IASD on light to dark skin, review risk factors for IASD in older nursing home residents; including the role of skin pH and determine how to apply appropriate prevention methods.
